Headgear - Double Lens Reverse Macro

Loading...

Spent some time in North Point Park with the double-lens reverse macro setup and the 430 EX II.  The main benefit here is TTL lighting because the lens almost always shields most of the light from reaching the subject.  In the old setup, the thyristor would see the scene light up, but not recognize that the subject was in shadow.  This, coupled with the higher power of the 430 EX II, has reduced my reliance on image stacking.  In turn, this makes it more reasonable to shoot things which are moving, or things which are located in spots where I can't really brace myself to take a good stack.
