San Francisco has not been a high-yield photography site for me just yet. There are so many iconic images from SF that it's hard to feel like you're seeing anything in a new or even equivalent way. How many photos of the Golden Gate can you recall off the top of your head? Ansel Adams even has a classic of the golden gate "before the bridge."
Anyway this leaves me with just a few random quirky images. This set was taken in various explorations north of the Golden Gate, some up in Point Reyes National Seashore (see elk... as Alfred says, those guys are everywhere) and others near Point Bonita.
