Eastern Sierra Nevada: Bodie

Just north of Mono Lake is Bodie Historical Town, a relic of times when gold could be mined out of the hills there. It was made into a state park in the 1960s and is now basically a nice playground for photographers. One other couple from Germany that braved the uncleared snow (quite the surprise for May - not expecting this at all) had planned well and showed up in rather nice cowboy gear and leather. Too bad it was snowing.
